Can you provide a brief overview of the history and founding of your winery?
Founded in 2020, our selection features a range of specialty fruit wines including blackberry, raspberry, blueberry, strawberry, peach, pear, and apple. Crafted exclusively from these fruits and berries, our wines do not contain any grapes. Additionally, we offer distinctive muscadine varieties, including reds infused with coffee and black pepper, vanilla scuppernong, and chocolate raspberry blends.
What inspired the establishment of your winery, and how has it evolved over the years?
With our plentiful tame blackberry vines, our jam and jelly production reached its limit. Thus, we ventured into wine-making experimentation, encouraged by the enthusiasm of our family, neighbors, friends, and co-workers. Today, we are delighted by the public's appreciation of our wines.
Are there any unique stories or anecdotes associated with the founding of your winery?
Our one-of-a-kind wines, crafted from a recipe inherited from my mother, are exclusive to our Virginia farm and cannot be found anywhere else in the world.
Can you highlight a few of your flagship or signature wines and what makes them stand out?
Our Vitis Muscadine Red offers a distinctive journey, emitting a sweet aroma akin to dessert wines. While it begins with the subtlest sweetness, it culminates in a fully dry palate. Infused with black pepper and coffee, it pairs exquisitely with salmon and steak. Additionally, our honeysuckle wine evokes cherished memories of childhood, reminiscent of plucking honeysuckle blooms and indulging in their sweet nectar, making it a perennial crowd-pleaser.
Describe the atmosphere and experience visitors can expect at your tasting room.
We are a small establishment, our tasting room is housed within a yurt, a unique round structure with a dome skylight. Many visitors have never encountered such an environment before, and they thoroughly enjoy the ambiance and the special atmosphere it lends to our wines.
